Some Printables Made By Me (Using my very limited Photoshop skills)

I'm sure you all know that I am truly a Pintrest addict.  I love to spend time looking at all the great things people have created, and it has inspired me to create things myself.  In fact I wish that there was a way that I could get paid for being on Pintrest.  It is no surprise that when I need an idea for something, whether it is something for YW, or something to bake, or a craft idea, it is the first place that I go to.

Recently I have made myself some goals of the the type of person that I want to be.  I am a very visual person, so I was looking for a way that I could keep track of the daily goals that I have. So, I came up with this.  I put it in a frame, put it in a very visible location (in my kitchen), and I write on it with a dry-erase marker.  I found that it really helps me do the things that I need to do, and keep track of where I am with my goals.  In the "to-do" column I put projects that I am working on, and things that I need to get done.  In the "Positivity" space I write a little something that gives me a bit of a pep-talk, like "You can do it!!", "You are worth it", "Short term sacrifice, Long term gain."  Although my weight-loss goals have been somewhat disappointing (not sure why), this has really helped me, and has kept me on track.  So, if any of you want to use it, go right ahead.

On Monday I was in charge of the Lesson for Family Home Evening.  FHE can be a bit tricky when you have kids.  It needs to be something quick, simple, and engaging.  Once again I turned to Pintrest, and I found a printable that said "Today we are praying for...".  I thought to myself that I could talk about prayer, and make my own printable that suited my own tastes a bit more.  I found from the Friend an article by President Henry B. Eyring where he talks about we need to be Instruments in God's Hands, and look for ways that we can serve other people, so we talked about ways to serve, and how we can be an answer to someone's prayers, and that sometimes the best way to help people is to pray for them.  I also showed this video that my VT shared with me a few months ago.

For the printable I made, I wanted the same concept that I used for my goal list, where I put it in a frame and used a dry erase marker to write a name on it.  We keep the picture by our dining room table so that when we have family prayer, and do our meal-time prayers it will remind us of who we were praying for that week.  I also want us to change who we pray for each week.  We are trying to teach our kids to put some thought into what they pray for, and not just repeat the same things over and over.  After we put it up Marcus asked if I could make one for his room so that he would remember who to pray for as well.  How could I say no to that!?!
