Yep...It's still Winter up in the Frozen North. We've been having some pretty warm (meaning between -4 and +4 degrees) days, so some of the snow is starting to melt. Our van is SO dirty, because our favourite game while we are out is driving through puddles and seeing which ones we can get to splash us. When we were out last week a car beside us splashed us, and the kids thought that was so awesome.
On Family Day Weekend Keith, Mandy, Liz and the kids came up for a visit. It was so nice to see them, and we had so much fun going to the Waterpark, going to Galaxyland, playing Settlers, letting the kids play, and eating some good food.
Phoenix finished playing Indoor Soccer for the year. As you can see from the pictures, he would for the most part just run around no where close to the ball. Nevertheless, I think he had a lot of fun.
One Sunday the boys all decided that they wanted to wear bow-ties to church. Drew had one from a wedding party he was in, and he had two more that were Grandpa Doug's, so we had enough to go around. I think they looked pretty handsome.
Davis decided that he wanted to try playing basketball this year, and he really likes it. One weekend Davis played in his first Basketball Tournament. Davis even made the first basket of the first game. We were so very proud.
When we get community league memberships we get WestEd passes with it.
We used the family pass to go to the Water Park after school, and we
used the other passes to go to the Deep Sea Caverns and the Sea Lion Show.
Checking out the penquins.
The best part is the touch pools. In this pool there are Sting Rays.
Our backyard is really boring, but it is full of snow. There is so much snow back there that you can't see where the deck ends. Phoenix and Taylor like to get bundled up, and go and jump off (walk-off) the deck into the snow.
Thanks for having us! it really was so much fun!
